Terms of Service

Welcome to CardOracle. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CardOracle iOS application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by CardOracle ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

CardOracle is an AI-assisted tool that helps sports card collectors identify cards, estimate market values, and predict possible PSA grading outcomes. The Service includes:

Card scanning and identification
Market value estimates based on recent completed sales
AI grade probability prediction (Pro feature)
AI Oracle chat for collector questions
Collection portfolio tracking

CardOracle is an informational tool, not professional investment, financial, or grading advice. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for buying, selling, trading, or grading any card.

3. Subscription & Billing

Free Tier. CardOracle is free to download and includes a limited number of scans, Oracle questions, and collection slots per month.
CardOracle Pro. Available as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly or yearly) with a 7-day free trial for new users. Pro unlocks unlimited scans, Grade Prediction, unlimited Oracle chats, and full portfolio analytics.
Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at the end of the free trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Subscriptions automatically renew at the same price unless cancelled.
Cancellation. You may cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. You retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. All refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's Media Services Terms.

4. AI Disclaimer

The Grade Prediction feature provides probability estimates only. It is generated by machine-learning models and is not a guarantee of the grade you will receive from PSA, BGS, SGC, or any other grading service. Actual results depend on factors only visible under professional examination, and real-world grading outcomes may differ materially from CardOracle's estimates. CardOracle is not affiliated with PSA, Beckett, SGC, Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, eBay, or any other third party referenced in the app.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract API keys.
Scrape, mirror, or republish CardOracle's pricing data.
Submit photos of anything other than collectible cards.
Interfere with other users or with the Service's infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate access to users who violate these rules.

6. Intellectual Property

The CardOracle name, logo, app design, source code, and curated pricing models are owned by us and protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. All other rights are reserved.

Card images you submit remain your property. By submitting them, you grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the Service (see Privacy Policy §1 — images are not retained after processing).

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDORACLE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING ANY GRADING, BUYING, SELLING, OR TRADING DECISION MADE IN RELIANCE ON CARDORACLE'S OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
